Submitter’s Comments: Was looking up “piercing fistula” in Google images.
What’s Awful: Dat ‘surface piercing’ lol
How to Fix: Take it da fuq out and go to a reputable shop!
remember guys, always look for professionals!
I assume you guys have all seen at least one of these before, but they’re cracking me up
Here is a great before and after photo that Johnross from Mean Street Tattoos in Bensalem PA posted, of a Surface piercing that he did on the Nape area of a client of his. She came into see Johnross; to get her Tragus pierced, and to downsize the jewelry in the Nape piercing that she had done at another shop. After seeing what she had; he carefully explained to her that her current Nape piercing was not looking good, and that the type of jewelry that was in it was probably inappropriate and detrimental. After further explaining to her the benefits that he has found when using an I.S. Titanium Surface Barbell with Titanium Flat Back Faceted Gem End tops (known for their low-profile) in this situation (he uses them on his clients on a regular basis), he offered to pierce her for free with the purchase of the jewelry. She decided to go for it, was totally happy with the outcome, and swore to be back and to tell all of her friends! You are very savvy when it comes to strengthening your customer base, @jrspiercings ! Bravo! And, thanks for the tag, and for choosing to offer INDUSTRIAL STRENGTH Fine Quality Body Jewelry to your customers! #repoststatigram #industrialstrength #isbodyjewelry #madeintheusa #implantgradebodyjewelry #finequalitybodyjewelry #f136 #polishedtoamirrorfinish #mirrorfinish #swarovski #issurfacejewelry #surfacepiercing #lowprofile #isthreadedends #picoftheday #igdaily #legitbodyjewelry #youaregoingtolooksobeautiful #customerforlife #loveit
This is why you don’t use curved barbells/bioplast/bioflex/biowhatever in piercings in case you were wondering.
Curved jewelry is never appropriate for surface piercings.
SUBMITTER COMMENT: I just saw this on my dash, and for the sake of the infant, i hope this is fake.
what’s awful? does it need to be asked?? stretching an infants earlobes? are you serious?!?!
how it can be fixed: don’t mess with your babies ears, please? wait until their old enough to make that decision for themselves
SUBMITTER’S COMMENT: I saw this status on my newsfeed…
WHAT’S AWFUL:Using a piercing gun shouldn’t even be used at all, let alone for an industrial bar?! On herself, and a belly button, that’s crazy & not to mention she’s going to be piercing other people as well..
HOW IT CAN BE FIXED:DON’T PIERCE YOURSELF, don’t use a piercing gun, and please do not pierce other people. Go to a professional and do it the right way.
Submitters comment: I found this scrolling through Facebook this morning. A friend of mine thought it would be a grand idea to shove an earring he found through an old piercing.
What’s awful: Well, from the looks of it, he just ‘found’ the earring. It was definitely not sterilized because I know for a fact he doesn’t have an autoclave, and I doubt he has a tattoo/piercing shop around at that is open at 5:30 in the morning. He also does not need to be sticking a dull-ended piece of jewelry into a closed hole. That’s NEVER “always kool”.
How it can be fixed: Go to a professional piercer to have it re-pierced.
SUBMITTER’S COMMENT: So, this 17 year old girl I went to school with bought a tattoo gun, and her friends, including her boyfriend, have let her tattoo them in her home and she’s doing it for free. So far she’s tattooed 5 people.
WHAT’S AWFUL: No training, poor line work, unsanitary conditions, and she gave herself 5 days of practice with the tattoo gun before she tattooed the person showed.
SUBMITTER’S COMMENT: Found these on a girl’s blog. She does the tattoos at home which makes me think she has no professional training.
WHAT’S AWFUL: … what’s not awful? The lines are horrible, the shading is horrible, I can’t see what the third one says, plus unsanitary environment.
SUBMITTER’S COMMENT: This was done by a guy on my facebook, he’s tattooing from home and won’t listen when I tell him that he won’t be taken seriously by a studio. He’s constantly got people coming to him asking for tattoos and he thinks it’s acceptable to tattoo people when he doesn’t know what he’s doing, because they’re asking for them and he isn’t charging.. This is just one of many disastrous pieces he’s done. The awful part is that the comments on facebook are people complimenting him on it when it’s clearly awful.
WHAT’S AWFUL: the lines are shaky as hell! I can’t believe that someone would be happy having this on their body permanently
