Did you know? Silver jewelry should only be worn in 100% healed piercings. Sterling silver is made of 92.5% silver and 7.5% “other metal” (most common: copper). Nowadays, it’s rare that sterling silver contains nickel, but to be on the safe side, people with a nickel allergy should avoid wearing silver.
The piercing shop near me does cartilage piercings. We asked if it's with a needle to make sure, and they said that it's done with a gun but with a special gun for cartilage that won't shatter it. I'm going to find somewhere that does it with a needle but my friend went with them for her piercing. I'm concerned, is this "cartilage gun" a real thing and if so how does it compare to needles and normal guns?
That is a load of BS and don’t listen to and “piercer” who says otherwise is full of it.
I’m not sure where you’re located, but especially if you’re in the US, you should be able to find a piercer using this.
Submitter Comment: When I was 18 i thought it would be the coolest thing ever to get my whole body tattooed but i couldnt afford it. So i made the mistake of allowing somebody to do it out of my apartment.
The guy did use gloves and sterile needles but used tap water to clean the needles to change colors which i learned can put bacteria into your arm and you can loose you arm. The whole thing was shaded with a liner!! and there isnt a proper line done in the whole tattoo. 13 hours of pain and a story for life i warn you. GO TO A PROFESSIONAL
How It can be fixed:
I was lucky enough to find my current artist who was friendly and patient about figuring out an idea to cover up this horrible quarter sleeve that i had gotten. Take your time and dont rush into getting whatever idea pops into your head your going to go through many different ideas and you need to think it through. I finally did after 2 years with this horrible tattoo and im finally happy.
