WHAT’S AWFUL: An old acquaintance of mine is known for her stupidity, and this just proves it all. I am unsure if she does these tattoos herself after she ‘stencils’ them, though they are backyard/home jobs. The environment is fairly unhygienic.
The lines are awfully thick and shaky, the (horrible) stencil has no shading at all, the “tattooist” didn’t even bother to add shading, but instead only made it thicker, darker and more horrible. The first tattoo lacks shading and the lines are all out of place. The unicorn/horse looks like it has been drawn with a ball point pen and makes me sick to know that this is on somebody’s body.

The girl is of legal tattoo age, I suggest her going to a real tattooist instead of skimping out.

Seriously it’s not that difficult and I can’t believe I’m making this post again. I kind of hate to be a condescending asshole, but when you have to moderate hundreds of incorrectly submitted things, it gets on your nerves.

3. HOW TO FIX IT: if it is a tattoo leave it blank. The only thing you can really do for tattoos is cover it up/retouch it or remove it. Piercings… if you don’t know how to fix it, leave it blank. and PLEASE DO NOT BE AN ASSHOLE ABOUT IT. like “idk go hide in a cave forever out of shame” IS NOT A VALID SOLUTION.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE keep it to like 3 SHORT paragraphs. I know you want to put in every detail, but I’m not going to read a 2000 word essay on what went wrong.

REMEMBER: Disliking someone is not a valid reason to submit them and thinking a certain modification (facial tattoos, genital mods, tongue splits…etc) are weird is not a reason to submit them. We don’t take “adult” stuff anyway, so don’t submit that…

There is a girl at my cosmetology school that on Halloween decided to shove a needle through her ear for a self pierced industrial. I did not see the piercing take place because trust me, I would have tried to stop her. When we were all in a room listening to our guest speaker I could not stop staring at her new “cool” piercing. Her ear had swelled up about 2 times its size, she kept the needle in instead of putting jewelry in, it was still bleeding, she was constantly touching it with her bare hands, and the placement was pretty awful. I wanted to take a photo but she had recently been bragging about beating up some girl and fracturing her arm so I was honestly a bit afraid to upset her if she caught me taking a photo. I tried to nicely tell her that it would probably be a good idea to take it out but I was quickly ignored. I sent her a message on Facebook with a link to this site but she has never responded so I have given up on trying to help.

WHAT’S AWFUL: Self piercing at a school, touching it without wearing gloves or sanitizing hands at least, keeping the needle in, and probably so many other things that I did not see her do. 

HOW IT CAN BE FIXED: For the love of all things good, take it out. Or at least put a bar in the piercing instead of using the needle as jewelry.

SUBMITTER’S COMMENT: This is the tattoo of someone from my facebook with the caption “I got a classic microphone cause I’m a singer”. She’s got tattoos from the same guy before apparently, but her previous ones look so much better. 

WHAT’S AWFUL?: The tattoos are done by a home artist, probably, judging by the state of the artwork in unsanitary conditions. You can’t really tell what it is! the line work is AWFUL! It’s a terrible design, the so called shading isn’t in the right places. It makes me wonder if the person that did the tattoo can even draw let alone be let loose with a tattoo machine. The worst thing is, he actually paid for it!! if this was me, I’d ask for compensation so I could afford to get rid of it.

This was the saddest show :( I watched it after reading the blurb:

“This film explores the world of tattoos; the artists, the reasons why people have them and what happens when they regret them.”

Over half the tattoos on the show were AWFUL (and I even kinda like some bad tattoos) but seriously really awful, and the people getting them weren’t into the art, but obsessive people, who could have been on a whole other show about people with too much money and OCDs - it featured a guy with c*nt tattooed on him several times (got when he was drunk, in Ayia Napa) and some guy with a Miley Cyrus obsession. Its worth it to see the scary demon head Miley he gets - its meant to just be her face, but I swear to you, it’s a hell demon.

I was really sad to watch it, because it made out that people who get a lot of tattoos are crazy and that tattoos are ugly and deforming. The quality of the work they showed was bad - including a girl that set up a studio in her own home. With cats. 

I’m kind of angry that Channel 4 chose this as a way of showing off “why people have tattoos”…although I could certainly see why some people would regret them, after watching this :(

SUBMITTER’S COMMENT: Not an awful modification, just an interesting video which interviews and compares licensed tattoo artists to scratchers. It’s in dutch but you can tell just by the quality of the tattoos that they bear and show off about which works in a shop and which doesnt. A very interesting watch for those who understand dutch!

It’s sad when I have so many things that are worthy of submitting here.

When I met my boyfriend, he had already been stretching his ears. They were pretty big, not exactly sure what size, but he got to well beyond an inch. He had to downsize because he got a blowout, (it’s healed now thank goodness, his ears are at about 0 now, he leaves them naked)

But he does have some catbutt going on, just a little bit.
Last night we were talking about this blog, and he told me, “If I start to stretch again, I’m not gonna take advice from some website.”

So I replied with, “When my ears get big enough, let’s compare healthiness and see what you say then!” ;) 

Just thought you guys might like to hear that you are talked about and that one of your minions is /trying/ to spread the word :)

SUBMITTER’S COMMENT: I found pictures of this guy on Facebook. He tattoos people with his cheap tattoo machine in their bedrooms. He says he’s a professional and everybody praises his work. He has entire folders full of these horrid pieces of so-called ‘art’. And he has a few awful tattoos as well.  You can’t see much in the photo’s, but he also has very thin and blowouty lobes.

WHAT’S AWFUL: Bad tattoos, not done by a professional, in unsanitary conditions and thin discusting lobes.
