Q:2 things: 1) How do you stretch a labret piercing to be elliptical? I don't plan to modify until I'm in college, but for the time being I'm incredibly curious. 2) This kid in my US History class was going on about his "gauges" and how he "gauged" his ears with silicone which made me rage so intensely that if I HAD gone off on him, I would probably have been suspended. I know stretching with silicone fucks up your ears, but why does it do so?
Elliptical, in the piercing world, generally means ‘odd shaped’ (Usually it’s used to describe the aureola when piercing nipples.) So I’m not sure if that’s the term you meant to use… Either way, stretching a labret piercing is very similar to stretching lobes, the skin is very the same.
As far as stretching with silicone goes, because silicone isn’t very smooth like steel (even acrylic is better than silicone…) it has a tendency to adhere itself to the stretched fistula. Resulting in literally having to rip or cut out the silicone eyelet. Bad time.
Also, with all my experience in correcting lobes stretched with silicone, I’ve found it creates more cat butt (the puckering effect) and scar tissue (in the form of skin that feels pretty solid, not squishy like a normal lobe does.)
Hope I helped! Happy -potential- modifying! :) And good luck in college!
