Q:When getting any piercing, shouldn't your piercer use a captive hoop for cleaning purposes? Except on tongue piercings & few select others? I could be wrong, but it just seems easier and less likely to heal around the stud. Advice?
No. Cleaning is done through soaking the piercing, so the water does all the cleaning for you.
BCRs/CBRs cause extreme irritation as they drag the dried lymph through the piercing fistula far more than a labret/barbell could. You actually want the skin to heal around the stud to create the fistula, which is actually what a piercing is, a tube of skin through an area.
