After researching the meaning of different pieces, I decided to get one. When I was 16 I learned that my friends uncle did tattoos and wouldn’t ID if they were a friend. So just before I turned 17, I went to his shitty make-shift tattoo shop, not thinking it could possibly go wrong. Long story short; I got a sleeve for $200. I was pretty happy with it until I learned how horrid it actually was and began to look years old after barely 1 year. I realized that it was sloppy, had horrible penmanship (or whatever the tattoo version is) and quite frankly looks like I drew it on with permanent marker. It could have been worse I know… but I really wish I would have just waited until I was 18, gone to a real tattoo artist, and gotten the tattoo I wanted in the first place. I’m getting it re-outlined and hopefully fixed in January. PS: If you ever hear of an artist named Jack Cunningham aka Tattoo Jack, do not go to him and do not let any friends get work from him. His portfolio looks great, but it must have been well before he became a druggie.
