A personal annoyance.
Does it irk anyone else when people refer to their ear sizes verbally by saying ‘mil’ instead of ‘millimeter’. I’ve always used ‘mil’ as a short hand to refer to milliliters, meaning when I hear people say it, I immediately image someone with a very small jug trying to work out the cubic milliliters that this persons ears hold.
I think that’s probably just me though.
