Today when I was at work, a girl came in and asked me if we sell “fages.” Confused, I asked her to explain. She said “you know, fake gauges. Fages.” No no no no no. Worst term ever. Then later when I was explaining to a girl not to wear tapers as jewelry, my manager (who has ears stretched to 5/8ths) asked me why I tell people that. I told her about uneven distribution and long term wear of tapers and acrylic, etc. and said “isn’t the same as wearing the jewelry you’re wearing?” I was wearing glass hanging spirals. No, it’s not the same. My ears have been healed for three years, I don’t wear these for more than a few hours at a time, they are glass.. no. Just no all around.
