Story: Person who is under pink posted a status update saying that they were going to get their bellybutton pierced when they turned 18. The person under black, as well as a couple others, stated that she should get “gauges.” When I tried to simply make a statement that it was incorrect terminology (I’m under blue, but my picture is showing), this happened.
What’s awful: usage of the word “gauges,” the fact that the website used by the person I was arguing with said that GAUGING WAS AN INCORRECT TERM, but it’s ok because, as that person stated, “it’s all the same.” *facepalm*
Apparently, trying to inform someone of proper terminology is “trolling.” And since I use proper terminology, I don’t know anything about piercings, even though I have my ears stretched and am considering a career in piercing.
