When I was about 11 I decided that, after much pressure from my mom, I was going to get my ears pierced. So because she didn`t know better she took me to Claire`s to get it done with, what else, a piercing gun. The left ear went fine, but when the girl, who couldn`t have been more than 18, did my right ear she pierced her glove in to my ear. PIERCED HER GLOVE IN TO MY EAR. Of course she thought it was funny and started pulling on the glove to try to “loosen it up”. After about five minutes I was crying, blood was pouring down the side of my neck, and my mom was off looking at earrings. It didn`t heal for the longest time even though I followed the aftercare instructions I was given(which obv didn`t help matters), and when I was finally able to change earrings the piece of latex had actually partially grown in to my ear. It`s 11 years later, my ears are at a healthy and comfortable 00g, but even still I have issues with infection in my right ear that I attribute to that glove. So people, when getting your kid`s ears pierced, please go to a reputable shop!
