Submitter’s comment: Basically this girl I went to school with and her boyfriend (his tattoo is the first one) went to a scratcher to get them done. Her boyfriend told me he paid like less then a hundred for his whole back piece and I cringed before I even saw it knowing the price he paid. The girl also has many other of these scratcher tattoos on her wrists, shoulder and other places. 

What’s awful: The shading is horrible, and the lack of sanitary conditions in the last photo makes me cringe.

How it can be fixed: I don’t have much hope for her boyfriend unless he gets laser or a huge cover-up, but not much can be done to improve these tattoos without laser or cover-up.

If it’s 100 dollars for a whole back piece tattoo, you might want to consider the quality of work.
