SUBMITTER COMMENT:
Stumbling across this on my facebook feed, it’s on a girl from school by her boyfriend who just started out tattooing with I’m assuming, a kit they bought off ebay.
What’s awful: Just look at it, oh my god lol. Obviously not done in a sterile environment.
How it can be fixed: Cover up…. HELP
MOD COMMENT:
I think this can be fairly easily fixed. The design is a little awkward, but not too bad and the lines aren’t totally awful. A good tattoo artist should be able to salvage the linework and shade it nicely. I’d hate to see a cruddy artist shade it badly and mess it up indefinitely. However, you seem to be assuming a lot of things. If he’s really apprenticing at a real shop and she’s letting him practice on her so he can actually get better, then okay. It’s not a fabulous tattoo, but it’s not really one of those mind-bogglingly bad ones that you just can’t even understand how someone is that bad… Just some food for thought. It doesn’t seem like that’s the case…but…if you assumed wrong, then calm down. If it was done in a house, go ahead with what you said.
