I know the boy very well, and was just so disappointed to see that he still had not learned his lesson. He had his lobes stretched to about an inch I believe, and when he stretched them he constantly skipped sizes and had awful blowouts; now, his lobes are a disgusting hanging mess, having been ripped recently. He has done all his own piercings for I presume has been since he first started getting them, and ended up taking mostly all of them out because of some complication or another. He also has quite the collection of “stick and pokes” that he doesnt even remember getting because either he was extremely drunk when he got them, or because he was extremely drunk then passed out and his friends did them while he was passed out. Ugh. WHATS AWFUL: Not only does he already have the track record from hell with self done body modifications, but good lord he still hasn’t learned his lesson! He is getting his piercing by his friend, at his friends house, and when I messaged him and tried to talk him out of this awful idea, he replied with “It’s okay, he has done this a million times before,” and continued to explain how it will be sterile because his friend is going to clean the bathroom they are going to do it in beforehand. No gloves, I’d assume. Not sterile jewellery, I assume. DEFINITELY not a sterile environment. Not done by a professional. And on top of all of this, he PROMOTES doing piercings from home and puts the negative and awful idea into other unenlightened heads. HOW CAN THIS BE FIXED, YOU ASK?: GO. TO. A. FUCKING. PROFESSIONAL. NEVER trust your friends OR yourself to do something that has the potential to really get messed up and seriously injure or scar you. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR, AND INFECTIONS ARE FREE.
