Submitter comments; I recently found this while scrolling through my news feed on Facebook, it belongs to a boy I used to go to school with, he’s wanted tattoos since he was around 11 and for as long as I knew him music was a HUGE part of his life. He’d been counting down the days to getting this since about a month ago and I was looking forward to seeing what he got, I expected it to be so much better than this. If you’ve been planning on getting a tattoo for such a long time I would have expected him to go to a better artist and have a much more thought out idea of what he wanted. In a way I feel almost sorry for the guy.
What’s awful? It’s uneven, the linework is dire, the shading. Look at the stars, they’re so wonky. Never mind the fact it’s so cliche and impersonal.
How can it be fixed? Well I’m assuming he could go to a more talented artist and see if they could rework it or possibly a cover-up. It could have been a really beautiful piece with a little more planning and a bit more talent.
