Consequences of bad tattoos are REAL

I don’t have any fancy pictures to go with this, but I felt like I needed to share. I work in a hospital in an intensive care unit. The other day I had a patient, young 18 year old kid who came in with a serious heart infection, blood and lung infection; the type of infection we usually expect with IV drug users, but this kid was free of any track marks and his whole family denied he was into drugs. What he was into though, was getting a cheap tattoo that ended up infected. He’s currently on a ventilator and doctors aren’t expecting him to live.
You think your friend doing cheap tattoos in their basement is using brand new needles on you? Think again.
