About a week ago, the girl who did this tattoo posted that she was going to do a tattoo to make some money. I hid her from my newsfeed since she DOESN’T listen to reason and I didn’t want to start a fight. Well, I checked back and she went through with giving this poor guy a tattoo. She asked not to be criticized since she’s still practicing. Pretty hypocritical considering how she berated the guy who gave her this tattoo (Source) in his basement…
WHAT’S AWFUL: This tattoo was performed by someone who didn’t know what they were doing. She bought the machine and ink from a store that is four doors down from a legit, clean, safe tattoo shop. There is no way this tattoo was done in a clean environment. On top of all of the safety hazards, the tattoo just looks plain bad. There isn’t much symmetry, the lines are wonky, and the colors are blurry. The tattoo she got back in ‘10 is in the same boat - unsafe and poorly done.
HOW IT CAN BE FIXED: Education. People need to learn why basement tattoos from scratchers are bad. If people don’t understand why they’re unsafe, this will keep happening. As for educating stubborn people? HELP! For these tattoos, an incredibly skilled artist may be able to cover them up. If not, laser removal is an expensive, painful option.

I don’t think the shop is very legit if they’re selling equipment like that to someone with no credentials.
