SUBMITTER’S COMMENT: These are from a craft site I’m a member of. I’ve seen several people there post up home tattoo tutorials/how to make your own ‘tattoo gun’/poorly done home tattoos. This is the first time I’ve seen it in such mass, though. There are more like these, but these were the worst. The girl who posts these just says what they are and that they’ve been done on so-and-so, though she doesn’t say if she has an apprenticeship or where she’s doing them from. I’m making a couple of assumptions about it all (one being that a lot of these are probably done in a not so sterile environment).
What’s Awful: In the first picture, the tattoo itself doesn’t look too bad, but I’d wager that I’m looking at a fresh tattoo and a tattoo machine resting on a bare leg (I’m not a tattoo artist, but I’m guessing maybe that’s not the best place for a tattoo machine to be). The second one is supposed to be a dragonfly, apparently, but I had no idea what I was looking at, it honestly just looks like a mishmash of stuff. The lines on the peace sign on the finger are super wobbly, you can tell where mistakes were made. Annnd then on the fairy, the shading, especially on the fairy’s skin, is really bad. The wings look really unbalanced (to me) and the bubble is awkwardly lopsided.
