Q:This has probably been said before, so sorry if it has, but one thing that bugs me is that a lot of people let their piercings become more and more infected because they're too ashamed to go to a piercer or doctor. Believe me, it is so much better to go to a professional and get your mod seen to rather than let it fester. Pros have almost always seen worse, and they're trained to know what to do. They'll be sad that you haven't respected it, but will be happy to help. Don't be embarrassed!

Yes! So much this!

Your piercer is ALWAYS available to help you. And it’s easier for them to help you when you come in at the first sign of trouble. This goes for everything, not just possible infection.

Piercers can help you much more easily if you come in with a 3 day old piercing that is very swollen, with sinking jewelry, than if you come in with a 3 month old piercing with jewelry that is completely embedded and healed under the skin. We’re here to help!
