Q:I just started following, but I see a lot of people with safety pins pierced through their skin and you guys bashing it but...

Are you bashing them and know that they ACTUALLY PIERCED THEIR SKIN WITH THE SAFETY PIN? I mean they could have gotten it professionally done and just stuck a safety pin for picture purposes? I mean that IS unsanitary if the safety pin isn't sterilized... But it is good to discourage people who would get the wrong idea from pictures like that anyway.

Even if it has been professionally done, why on this earth would you stick a non-sterilised, dirty, wrong gauge, sharp and pointy thing through a healed (or otherwise) fistula?!

Often, it is people who have self pierced with the safety pin, and think that it’s ‘cool’.

If we see some that are obviously just like ‘I can stick a safety pin through this fistula’ then I won’t post it as it’s not worth getting my knickers in a twist over, but there are some which are just stupid!
