Q:I got my snakebites done with horseshoe rings, and they healed fine. Mind you that was just my experience... The piercer opened them up wider to make room for the swelling, then tightened them for me two weeks later when the swelling went down.

I mean sometimes it can work. But there’s far much more of a bar, meaning it can move more and cause irritation and therefore an increase in initial healing time :)
