Q:Hey! I just got my septum redone on Thursday and I know that everyone has a different healing times for their piercings, but I just didn't want to buy extra bigger jewlery if I didn't need it. Here's the problem, i requested a staple horseshoe so i can put it up for work. But i have sores on both sides of my nose (directly below the septum where the horse shoe ends la, and i was just wondering should i buy longer jewlery with a longer wearable area or should i just see if its initial swelling?
That happened to me too. It could be the staple is too narrow for your nose, or it could be swelling making that the case. If you can get back to your piercer, all you need to do is tell them that the staple is rubbing your nose raw inside and ask if they can widen up the bottom a bit, so the jewelry will go from being like |_| to more like \_/ (but probably not that wide, you get the point i hope). You shouldn’t need to buy longer wearable, just get them to widen the bottom part of it. Hopefully that’ll help you out.
