This is Alexis Witt. She likes to pretend her name is Alexus-Cori.
Anyway, why it’s awful? She doesn’t have the right sized jewelry in her angel bites, her septum is crooked when you look at her head on, her “ink” was done at home and she pierces herself because she’s a “professional” but just because your friend is a body modification artist, does not mean you are a professional.. Her tattoo is completely without color and in person you can tell the lines are super shakey, plus it starts in the middle of the back her neck and goes almost to the front of her neck, it was very ill placed and un-even.
A girl i know from facebook just pierced her own smiley at home.

Starting when I was 13, I pierced myself thinking I was all kinds of cool because I was a freshman with a lip ring. Fast forward when I meet somebody when I turned 16 who was a “piercer” and his only “work” being himself. I should have seen the red flags and now that I look back I wish I would have waited till I was 18.
He comes over to my house one day, grabs an ALTOIDS TIN of needles that are all rattling next to each other along with wal-mart jewelry in a plastic container. I look at his needle and it was a solid 14g. He didn’t use a clamp or any sort of gloves and shoved this needle through my nose. Let me tell you, it was the WORST pain I have ever felt in my life! As he was pushing it through, I felt a tugging inside of my left ear and ringing until he popped it through the other side.
That’s not all.
because this ring wasn’t hallow, he had to take it out and fish around with the ring to get it in this fresh open wound of mine while I’m dripping snot and tears everywhere and have ringing ears. He finally gets it in and all’s done and over with.
Later I come to find out he was a druggie and was on cocaine while piercing me, which is why he went extremely slow and it was so painful.
Fast forward a few years and the side he went in on, won’t heal. The right side of my septum still has a hole that occasionally opens up and creates a mass amount of sharp pain and there’s nothing I can do about it. I sometime’s still get a tugging in my ear if I move my nose a certain way and it scares me every time.
My advice to EVERYBODY! Make sure your peircer is credible and works in a shop! If you’re underage, wait for the sake of your body.
This kid goes all his piercings himself.
Personal experience
Everything in this post is actually going to be self submitted.
Hi, my name is Skylar and I’ve been stretching my septum for about two months at most. I pierced it myself 2 years ago at a 16g and gradually went up to a 12g. Mind you this was my 4th time piercing it. I went back and forth between a 14g and 12g so my nose was not at all in shock or in any pain at all from my 10g stretch. It’d slid right in and barely hurt or was tender. I went up to an 8g two weeks after the stretch. It was extremely painful, when my I moved my septum in a certain position, my whole sinus cavity would be tingling and causing me to become teary eyed, causing me the most physical pain I have ever felt. Looking up on that now, that was moderate nerve damaging. I waited until just a few weeks ago to go to a 6g. My friend gave me a crescent that apparently was a 4g, I couldn’t wait to stretch up. The crescent had ridges and sharp corners. My nose shifted over the ridged areas and became completely numb. It fell out just tonight when I was putting water in it to loosen up the tension from the crusties. The ring was covered in blood spots and dried crust. I asked my friend who is a professional piercer, he told me the ring was at a 1g ring meant to be for ears. And this is the final result of my nose. This just goes to show you CAN get blowouts in your septum. The most important thing about septum stretching is patience and tolerance. I tolerated a blown out nose for four whole days before I noticed. Always, always, always take at least 2-4 months between septum stretchings, if it even feels slightly tender or sore WAIT. I’m responsible with my stretches and piercing after care. Everyone makes mistakes, I just felt like showing off mine so others don’t make the same mistake.

You can see the bubble that’s near the piercing hole, mind my terrible skin.
so my mom is actually really stupid
Submitter Comment: Last night my mom came home drunk and insisted on re-piercing her nose. After stumbling into my room in search of a safety pin to ” shove the fucker through” i told her the consequences of piercing in an unsterile environment with inappropriate equipment. She told me to shut up and that i didnt know anything about nose piercings ( I have had mine for a yr and half now) anywaysssss she wouldnt let me stop her. So she went through with it. She woke up this morning not only with a hangover but not remembering what she had done to herself. She went and looked in the mirror and her nose was completely infected. Puss, blood, just general nastiness. she ended up having to get it cut out and is now on antibiotics shes lucky if her face isnt totally scarred from now on.
Mom, I told you so you dumbass.
Awful Mods comment: Whilst it’s a good story, it’s generally impossible to get an infection overnight like that. The bacteria present need to multiply and propogate in order for an infection to form, which generally cannot be done in a such a small time. Whilst I’m not saying it’s impossible, it’s highly unlikely. Like food poisoning, it takes a while to show through (2-4 days).

Why this is awful: I mean just look at it…

So. Here are pictures of my 15 year old self. These are just 3 of the 8 attempts at home piercing I’ve done. As you can see, I used the same horrible jewelry twice. Which I got at a flea market. That last one, and the bloodiest one was the worst one. Turns out I’m allergic to the metal in the jewelry. And my mother somehow convinced me that it would be a good idea to rub alcohol on it at least 5 times a day. So not only did it reject, I also had some kind of a chemical burn on both sides of my lip. I’m thinking about building a time machine and beating some sense into my past self.
Don’t do it yourself kids.
