I would assume if the piercer to do that is crazy enough that either a straight barbell or PTFE would be appropriate jewelry. However, because that piercing goes through the tip of the tongue, you’re super prone to chipping or cracking your teeth and gum erosion. I would also imagine that it’d be generally uncomfortable.
