My friend got his Septum pierced with a 14g needle today , then gauged with a 10g taper . It was so entertaining watch it and taping it . Nigga crazy !

Gauging up! From a 6 to a 4. Hurts like hell…haven’t managed to jam these 4’s in all the way, really not sure whether I should jam them all the way all at once or leave them like this for a while and then jam them the rest of the way later. Last time, I gauged them over a period of a day (going from a 10 to a 6 - long story short, bought the wrong jewelry and thought I was going to an 8 - not so).
Like I said, hurts like hell, but BEAUTY IS PAIN especially in the world of body mods.
Whenever gauging hurts, I think to myself “I have tattoos on my fucking ankle bones, I can handle this shit.” Because that hurt more than anything in the world (and I do hope I go to my grave never having to say anything hurt MORE than those, because DAMN).
Just jammed them in a little farther. Okay…breathe…I can handle this…
lol I am so bad with my piercings, I’m always like “BAH IT AIN’T THAT BAD” and just jam the jewelry in. I love pain.
What’s Awful: Stretching with spirals, then wearing as jewellery. She’s obviously in pain which stretching should never, ever be.
I mean, seriously, going by the amount of pain that’s being described is maddening.
And no, beauty is not pain in the world of body modification. Pain has nothing to do with stretching. It should never hurt, sting, or burn. It should feel like a light pressure is being applied. Nothing more.

I’ve had the 1.5mm stretcher in for like 5 days (pathetic, I know) and I’m trying the 2mm one now and it just won’t go through! It’s pissing me off ¬¬ It hurts and I don’t want to tear it but surely it should be working??
Because stretching isn’t a race, and a small size by no means is pathetic. It’s a sign of listening to your body.
It’s not going through because it’s still fresh. Your skin hasn’t relaxed and calmed enough to be able to stretch up yet, meaning if you try and force it through, your skin and piercing will become damaged and aggravated.
Waiting at least a month between sizes is the only way to stretch, no matter what method.

Originally drafted by the Association of Professional Piercers, the “Piercee’s Bill of Rights” defines what every piercing client should be able to expect from a quality studio. It reads,
EVERY PERSON BEING PIERCED HAS THE RIGHT:
1.To be pierced in a hygienic environment by a clean, conscientious, sober piercer wearing a fresh pair of disposable medical examination gloves.
2.To be pierced with a brand new, completely sterilized single-use needle that is immediately disposed of in a medical Sharps container after use on one piercing.
3.To be touched only with freshly sterilized and appropriate implements, properly used and disposed of or re-sterilized (where appropriate) in an autoclave prior to use on anyone else.
4.To know that piercing guns are NEVER appropriate, and are often dangerous when used on anything — including earlobes.
5.To the peace of mind that comes from knowing that their piercer knows and practices the very highest standards of sterilization and hygiene.
6.To have a knowledgeable piercer evaluate and discuss appropriate piercings and jewelry for her/his individual anatomy and lifestyle.
7.To be fully informed of all risks and possible complications involved in his/her piercing choice before making any decisions.
8.To seek and receive a second opinion either from another piercer within the studio or from another studio.
9.To have initial piercings fitted with jewelry of appropriate size, material, design, and construction to best promote healing. Gold-plated, gold-filled or sterling silver jewelry is never appropriate for any new or unhealed piercing
10.To see pictures, be given a tour of the piercing studio, and to have all questions fully and politely answered before making or following through on any decision.
11.To be fully informed about proper aftercare, both verbally and in writing, and to have continuing access to the piercer for assistance throughout the healing process.
12.To be treated with respect, sensitivity and knowledge regardless of gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, ethnicity, ability, health status or piercing choice.
13.To change her/his mind, halt the procedure and leave at any point if the situation seems uncomfortable or improper.
Guys, listen up! This what you deserve when you go to get a piercing! You can call out piercers at any time if they do something you aren’t comfortable with.
So, read through this, and next time, make sure you get all of this!
